Vincent U-Pick and Grape Juice in the Finger Lakes
Vincent is a French-American hybrid variety that was was bred specifically to be winter-hardy in areas like New York's Finger Lakes region. The Vincent grape is dark blue and is used in blends and has also received high ratings when produced as a varietal. Typicall wines made from Vincent tend be low in tannin, despite the dark color, and have an earthy character. A very good wine as a varietal or for blending.
Developed in Ontario, Canada, at the Vineland Research Station in 1967, Vincent produces a full-bodied table wine and is quite popular for port styles.
