Chardonnay is a green-skinned grape variety used to make white wine. It is originated from the Burgundy wine region of Eastern France but is now grown wherever wine is produced, especially in the Finger Lakes. For new and developing wine regions, growing Chardonnay is seen as a "rite of passage" and an easy segue into the international wine market.
Our Unoaked Chardonnay displays a soft nose of pear tinged with vanilla, citrus and pineapple. This superbly balanced white is loaded with clean lemon-mineral flavors. The smooth creaminess was achieved by a natural secondary fermentation (ML). Pairs nicely with oysters, filet of sole or creamed chicken.
