This is a recent style, developed by American Craftbrewers in the late 70’s. Although it’s meant to emulate the British Pale Ale, the American version has a cleaner flavor, less malt sweetness, and more hops than any modern British Beer could hope to have. It’s also higher in alcohol content. This recipe has both bready and caramel malt flavors from the use of different domestic malts. It’s flavored with Cascade hops, the King of American varieties and is bursting with citrus, pine resin, and floral aromas and flavors.

This kit is good for one 5 gallon brew with an anticipted ABV of 5.3%. Includes everything that you will need to brew your own Pacific NW Pale Ale.
