In the next several years Fulkerson Winery plans on adding 25 plus acres of other grape varieties, including Riesling, Noiret, Corot Noir and Traminette. The Fulkerson Farm’s Grape-Vine Nursery is busy producing more grape vines for many years to come, adding diverse grapes for both our award winning wines and for our home winemaking juice for the 5,000 plus juice customers who buy grape juice to make wine every September and October through the Fulkerson Juice Plant.
Fulkerson Winery’s need for wine grapes go beyond our own acreage to include Harlan Fulkerson’s grapes, Sayre Fulkerson’s brother and Ken Fulkerson’s grapes, Sayre’s nephew. Just a few miles South on State Route 14 along the West side of Seneca Lake, Harlan and Ken Fulkerson work 90 acres of Grape Vines. Grape varieties that Sayre buys from his family include Gewurztraminer, Lemberger, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Gris, Traminette and Cayuga. Harlan and his son plan to continue expanding the vineyard acreage, adding Riesling, Noiret and Cayuga in the coming year.
Fulkerson Winery was founded in 1989 by Sayre and Nancy Fulkerson. The Fulkerson Farm was established in 1805 by Caleb Fulkerson, a veteran of the Revolutionary War. Fulkerson Winery is very positive about our future sales and growth potential. The winery currently produces 15,000 plus cases of wine each year. The market for our award winning wines stretches throughout
